PV CylindricalSeries DC FUSE

Talemod DC FUSE is a safety protection component specifically designed for DC circuits. Its core function is to safely and quickly interrupt fault currents by melting itself under severe overload or short-circuit conditions in a DC circuit.

    Technical Data

    DC Fuse
    Rated voltage:1000VDC/1500VDC In:1~50A
    link size(mm):10*38 14*51 22*58 10*85 14*85
    Link type: gPV IEC60269

    Core Functions

Overload and Short-Circuit Protection: When the current in the circuit abnormally rises beyond the fuse's rating for a certain duration and magnitude due to equipment failure or wiring issues, the fuse will operate.

Safe Interruption of Fault Current: The internal structure of a DC fuse is specially designed to forcibly elongate and cool the electric arc within an extremely short time, extinguishing it, thereby safely interrupting fault currents that can reach thousands or even tens of thousands of amperes.

Selective Protection (Cascading Protection): When a fault occurs in end equipment, only the branch fuse closest to the fault point melts, while the upstream main fuse remains intact. This minimizes the scope of power outage, facilitating fault identification and system restoration.

Final Barrier for Equipment and Personal Safety: When other protective devices fail, the fuse reliably performs its protective duty, preventing equipment from burning out due to overcurrent and fundamentally eliminating the risk of electrical fires, thereby ensuring personal safety.

     Key Product Characteristics

Rated Voltage: Higher than the system's maximum voltage, featuring low voltage drop and power loss.

Rated Current: Typically slightly greater than the circuit's normal operating current, but less than the allowable overload current of the protected equipment.

Breaking Capacity: Very high breaking capacity (usually ranging from 10kA to several tens of kA).

     Main Application Areas

Photovoltaic (PV) Power Generation Systems: Fuses are used to protect PV modules and inverters from reverse currents, overcurrents, and short-circuit currents.

Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Charging Infrastructure: Fuses ensure the safety of the vehicles and the charging process.

Energy Storage Systems (ESS): Fuses provide overcurrent protection for battery modules and the entire system.

DC Power Supply Systems: Fuses protect numerous DC power distribution links.

Industrial Control Systems: Many industrial devices (such as frequency converters, servo drives) also require fuses for protection on their DC bus side.
