PV Combiner and Distribution Box TDCDB

Photovoltaic (PV) Distribution Box is usually installed near the inverter, acting as the system's backend distribution and control unit. After the inverter converts DC power into AC power, the distribution box is responsible for safely distributing and transmitting the AC power to the grid. It integrates various protection, measurement, and switching devices required for grid connection, serving as the statutory interface point connecting the PV power generation system to the public grid.

    220V/380V AC Circuit Breaker

    Product Introduction

Photovoltaic (PV) Combiner Box is typically installed on-site near the solar panel array. Its core purpose is to combine the DC output from multiple PV module strings into one or a few circuits of higher current output. This combined output is then transmitted to the inverter or the next stage of equipment (such as a DC distribution cabinet) via a single, thicker cable.

    Core Functions

Lightning Protection Device (SPD): Prevents damage to equipment caused by lightning strikes or surge overvoltages.

Intelligent Monitoring Unit: Integrates monitoring functions for real-time data acquisition.

It adopts an enclosure with a high protection rating of IP65 or above, ensuring long-term stable operation in harsh outdoor environments (rain, wind, dust, high temperature, UV radiation).

    Core Functions

Input Circuit: Connects to the AC output from the inverter. It is equipped with an:

AC Circuit Breaker: Acts as the main input switch, protecting the inverter-side wiring.

Output Circuit: Transmits electrical energy to the grid/load. It is equipped with a:

Grid-Connection Circuit Breaker: Features undervoltage and loss-of-voltage release functions. In the event of a grid power failure (blackout), it immediately trips automatically, isolating the PV system from the grid to prevent back-feeding electricity into the de-energized grid, ensuring the safety of maintenance personnel.

Energy Meter: Used for accurately measuring the electricity fed into the grid (energy generated) by the PV system and the electricity consumed from the grid, serving as the basis for electricity billing settlement.

Voltmeter/Ammeter: Provides a visual display of system operating parameters.

Surge Protective Device (SPD): Provides surge protection on the AC side.

Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) / Residual-Current Device (RCD): Prevents the risk of electric shock to personnel and equipment leakage.
