Having visible disconnection points: When the isolation switch is in the "closed" state, it can establish an insulation distance between the moving contact and the fixed contact that meets safety standards, while ensuring that the disconnection state is clear and distinguishable, allowing staff to intuitively grasp the power outage situation of the equipment.
Capable of carrying rated current: When the isolation switch is in the "ON" position, its contacts need to have reliable and continuous current carrying capacity, able to withstand the maximum continuous working current of the system during normal operation, and there will be no overheating phenomenon during operation, ensuring circuit stability.
Capable of withstanding short-term current surges: Isolation switches need to have certain dynamic and thermal stability. In the event of a short circuit in the circuit, they can withstand the current surge generated by the short circuit for a short period of time until the upstream protection device is activated and the fault is cleared. This feature ensures that the isolation switch itself is not damaged in the event of a fault.
Strictly follow the operating specifications of "no-load" or "low arc": During the operation of the isolation switch, it is strictly prohibited to perform switch operations under load. It must be carried out under conditions that meet the requirements of "no-load" or "low arc" to ensure operational safety and equipment performance.
