DC lsolator Switch TDDH1

Talemod DC Isolator Switch is a crucial safety and operational electrical device in DC power distribution systems. Its core design purpose is to provide an "air break point" after the current has been interrupted by other devices, thereby achieving safe isolation of an electrical circuit.

    Core Functions

Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: After opening the isolator switch, the clearly visible breaking gap formed at the contacts provides the highest level of safety for personnel, preventing electric shock incidents.

System Operation Mode Switching: In complex DC distribution networks, isolator switches are used to energize or de-energize circuits, allowing equipment or lines to be put into or taken out of operation. This enables different operational modes or isolates faulty sections.

Emergency Power Cut-off Point: In emergency situations, personnel can manually operate the isolator switch to quickly cut off the power path, serving as a reliable manual safety barrier.

     Product Characteristics

Provides Visible Disconnection Point: Ensures that in the "OFF" position, a sufficiently safe insulation distance is created between the moving and stationary contacts, and the disconnected state is clearly visible.

Carries Rated Current: In the "ON" position, the contacts of the isolator switch must reliably and continuously carry the system's maximum continuous operating current without overheating.

Withstands Short-Time Current Surges: The isolator switch must possess a certain level of dynamic and thermal stability, enabling it to withstand short-circuit current surges for a short time until the upstream protective device operates to clear the fault. This ensures the isolator switch itself is not damaged during a fault event.

Strict "No-Load" or "Low-Arc" Operation: Switching operations under load are strictly prohibited.
