Product Overview
An arc fault detection device (AFDD) is an electrical safety protection device that utilizes intelligent arc recognition technology. Its primary function is to prevent electrical fires caused by series arcs, parallel arcs, and ground faults. Leveraging high-frequency sampling and arc signature analysis algorithms, the device accurately distinguishes dangerous arcs from normal operating arcs and rapidly interrupts faults within milliseconds. Its key advantage lies in addressing the technical shortcomings of traditional circuit breakers and residual current devices, thereby contributing to a more comprehensive electrical fire protection system for residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
Core Functions
Dangerous arc identification function: Using multi-frequency characteristic analysis technology, it can accurately distinguish arcs generated during normal load operation from fault arcs with safety hazards, effectively eliminating the risk of misjudgment.
Millisecond-level fast disconnection function: Once a dangerous arc feature is detected, it can automatically cut off the circuit within 300 milliseconds, preventing arc heat accumulation at the source and avoiding fire accidents caused by high temperature.
Self-check and fault warning function: It has a periodic automatic detection mechanism. When the equipment encounters an abnormal condition or the circuit is aging, the indicator light will flash to send a clear warning signal, which is convenient for timely troubleshooting.
